Wood Memorial Day Bus Trip to Aqueduct Racetrack

About: The Museum is partnering with the New York Thoroughbred Breeders to offer a bus trip to historic Aqueduct Racetrack on April 4 to watch the final running of the Wood Memorial Stakes at the track before the race moves to Belmont Park in 2027. The day’s card includes the Grade 2 Wood Memorial — a key Kentucky Derby prep race — as well as the Grade 2 Carter, Grade 3 Gazelle, Grade 3 Distaff, and two listed stakes.

Schedule for the day:

8 a.m. — The bus will leave the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame
9:30 a.m. — The bus will make a pit stop on the drive down.
11:30 a.m. — Arrival at Aqueduct Racetrack, Queens, N.Y.

What you do between arrival and when we get back on the bus following the running of the Wood Memorial, is up to you! With the purchase of a ticket, we are ensuring your transportation to and from the track and a program for the day! How you spend your day and what you eat is up to you!  We will all get back on the bus (at a predetermined meeting spot) immediately following the Wood Memorial and begin the trip back up to Saratoga Springs. The bus will make one pit stop on the way back. We anticipate an approximate 9:30 p.m. arrival back at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame.

Ticket options:

  • Museum or New York Thoroughbred Breeders Members — $75
  • Non-members — $90
