  • All Museum Tours include a 60-minute tour and the 16-minute HOF movie.
  • We recommend two weeks advanced notice when booking group museum tours.

Tom Durkin Exclusive Museum Tour

Join legendary racecaller Tom Durkin for a unique and entertaining tour experience of the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame! These special tours last one hour and include a showing of the Museum's new signature film, What It Takes: Journey to the Hall of Fame.

NOTE: These tours are offered only during the Saratoga Race Course meeting. Tours will take place on Thursday's Fridays (no tour on Friday, Aug. 4), and Saturdays. Information on 2023 Tom Durkin Museum Tours will be available soon! 


Oklahoma Training Track Exclusive Tour

Exclusive tours of Saratoga Race Course's Oklahoma Training Track!

  • NOTE: Oklahoma Training Track tour attendees receive a coupon for $5 off regular admission to the Museum.

Find out why this beautiful and historic site, located across the street from Saratoga Race Course, is a favorite base for leading trainers such as Todd Pletcher, Chad Brown, Shug McGaughey, Nick Zito, and many others. Our behind-the-scenes tours, offered in cooperation with the New York Racing Association, are available from June to October. This walking tour covers approximately 1.5 miles and lasts for 90 minutes.

Sturdy walking shoes are suggested! 

Tour participants must be at least 10 years old. No children in backpacks or strollers, no umbrellas.

Oklahoma Tours are by reservation only, June through October. The tour begins promptly at 9 a.m. and leaves from the Museum. You will meet your tour guide and check in at the front desk in the Museum lobby. Reservations are required and space is limited! All reservations must be received 48 hours prior to requested time. (Make sure you leave a phone number where you can be reached from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You will be contacted if the tour is cancelled due to weather)

Health, History, and Horses Tour

Special tour for 4th grade students!

  • Student: $8
  • Teachers and adult chaperones: Free

Our program is a local history learning collaboration with the Saratoga Springs History Museum and the Saratoga Springs Visitors Center. This program offers classroom instruction, museum visits, and field trip opportunities that will enhance your students’ learning of the unique significance of Saratoga Springs in New York State history.  

Health, History, and Horses is a field trip designed for 4th grade students. On this field trip students will learn about local Saratoga history through a visit to the Oklahoma Training Track, a showing of the Museum's signature film "What It Takes: Journey to the Hall of Fame," and time to explore the Museum's galleries and exhibits.
