The Winner's Circle Summer Camp 2026

Location: Saratoga Springs, New York
Time: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. daily
Ages: Middle and high school students (ages 13–17)
Capacity: Limited to 15 participants
Cost: $50 per student | $40 for National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame members and Amplify mentees or mentee grads
Program Overview
Discover the exciting world of thoroughbred racing through hands-on activities, behind-the-scenes experiences, and career exploration. Over four mornings, participants will learn how racehorses are cared for, trained, and managed while meeting industry professionals and exploring the many career opportunities that exist within the sport.
Transportation to all off-site visits will be provided once students arrive at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame each morning.

What You'll Experience
July 28: Introduction to Thoroughbred Racing

July 29: Behind the Scenes at the Racetrack
- Visit Saratoga's historic training grounds
- Tour a working Thoroughbred training barn
- Learn how racetracks are designed and maintained
- Explore the science behind racing surfaces
July 30: Equine Health & Veterinary Science
- Learn horse anatomy and biosecurity practices
- Visit an equine veterinary hospital
- Explore how horses are cared for throughout their careers
- Participate in hands-on activities focused on equine health and the economic impact of the horse industry
July 31: Horse Care & Life After Racing
- Visit an aftercare organization that helps retired racehorses transition to new careers
- Participate in hands-on horse care activities, including grooming and horse handling based on comfort level
- Learn about careers in horse care, retraining, and equine welfare
- Optional afternoon at Saratoga Race Course available for participants and families

- Participants should be comfortable walking and standing for extended periods, as several activities involve significant walking.
- Please notify us of any allergies, medical concerns, accessibility needs, or accommodations when registering.
- Programs take place rain or shine.
- Closed-toe shoes are required every day.
- Space is limited and registration is first-come, first-served.
