Children’s Program: “I Won the Race: the Travers Stakes:” Prepare for Saratoga’s oldest race by viewing Travers Stakes trophies at the Museum then decorate a smaller model of your own. Recommended for children ages 3 through 8. Time: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Cost: Free with paid admission.

The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame will present special behind-the-scenes tours of Godolphin’s famous Greentree Stable on Saturday, Aug. 18 and Tuesday, Aug. 21. The tours are from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tours cost $15 for Museum members and $20 for non-members. Each attendee will also receive a complimentary admission pass to the Museum. The tours will be given by Godolphin’s Emma Browne and the Museum’s Cate Johnson.

Legendary jockey Julie Krone, the first woman inducted into the National Museum of Racing’s Hall of Fame, will sign autographs at the Museum on Sunday, Aug. 19 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. Autographs are $15 each with proceeds benefitting the Museum. Krone will be signing limited-edition prints of her groundbreaking victory aboard Colonial Affair from the 1993 Belmont Stakes. The prints will be sourced from original artwork by renowned artist Celeste Susany. The print is included with the autograph price.

The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame will present a symposium on Sunday, Aug. 19 featuring accomplished women involved in various aspects of thoroughbred racing. Comprised of seven of the most recognizable women in the sport — Hall of Fame jockey Julie Krone, Hall of Fame trainer Janet Elliot, champion steeplechase jockey Blythe Miller Davies, record-breaking trainer Linda Rice, iconic owner/breeder Charlotte Weber, industry leader Stella Thayer and top racing analyst Gabby Gaudet — the panel will be moderated by longtime television commentator Charlsie Cantey.

Xpressbet Saturday Morning Social at the Museum: Join Museum staff and special guest analysts for a casual discussion of the day’s racing action at Saratoga and other tracks throughout the country, sponsored by Xpressbet. “Ask the Handicapper” with Tom Amello: Veteran handicapper Tom Amello, who has been producing the Trackfacts tip sheet at Saratoga Race Course since 1988, will lead a discussion about various aspects of handicapping and take questions from the audience. Time: 11 a.m. Cost: included with Museum admission.

Monday, August 13 — Photo Finish Tour with Sharon Castro: Join the Museum on a special tour of Saratoga Race Course’s famed Oklahoma Training Track led by professional photographer Sharon Castro. You will learn about lighting, composition and developing your own photographer’s eye. Please note that reservations are required for this tour.
