Recommended for ages 3-6, “Horse Explorers” is a hands-on series intended to creatively educate children about horses by developing age-appropriate skills in disciplines including art, literacy, science and math. The program will be staffed by the Museum’s professional educators.

 

“Horse Explorers” will take place Thursday mornings from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. in the Museum’s Horseplay Gallery. Children are free to attend with a paid accompanying adult.

McMahon Farm Tour: Join the Museum for a tour of McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds Farm, one of New York’s premier thoroughbred breeding farms, as part of our ongoing farm tour series. Along with a tour of the grounds and facilities and meeting the resident thoroughbreds, there will be a catered lunch at the Museum immediately after the farm tour. Time: 11 a.m. at McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds Farm, 180 Fitch Road, Saratoga Springs. Cost: $25 for Museum members and $30 for non-members.

Old Tavern Farm Tour: Join the Museum for a tour of Old Tavern Farm, located by Saratoga Lake, as part of our ongoing farm tour series. Along with the tour of the grounds and facilities and meeting the resident thoroughbreds, there will be a catered lunch at the farm. Time: 11 a.m. at Old Tavern Farm, 45 Brown Rd., Saratoga Springs. Cost: $25 for Museum members and $30 for non-members. Participants will receive a free pass to visit the Museum at their convenience. Note: Transportation is not provided.

Join us as artist Greg Montgomery unveils his 2018 Travers Stakes poster and discusses the story behind this year's edition. Montgomery has been producing artwork for the iconic Travers Stakes since 1986. TIme: 7 p.m. Cost: Free to attend, posters available for purchase and will be signed by the artist.
