50 to 1 to open at Bow Tie Cinemas in Saratoga

Bow Tie Cinemas, in conjunction with the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame, will be premiering the movie “50 to 1” at the Bow Tie Cinemas’ downtown location at 19 Railroad Place on Friday, Aug. 1. National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame members will receive a special 25 percent discount on tickets throughout the film’s run in Saratoga Springs (Museum membership card must be shown to receive the discount).

“50 to 1” tells the story of Mine That Bird, the improbable 2009 Kentucky Derby winner and the misfit New Mexico cowboys who found themselves on the journey of a lifetime when their crooked-footed racehorse qualified for the world’s most prestigious race. The movie stars Skeet Ulrich, Christian Kane, William Devane and Hall of Fame jockey Calvin Borel. It is directed by Jim Wilson, who won an Academy Award as the producer of “Dances With Wolves,” which won best picture in 1990.
