The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame's art collection features many works on paper including prints, drawings and preparatory studies for other media, such as sculpture.

 

The Museum's collection of prints alone contains over 200 individual works by artists including: Edward Troye, Franklin Brooke Voss, John Cameron, Currier & Ives, Henry Stull, Henry Thomas Alken, John F. Herring, Sr., George Stubbs, Richard Stone Reeves, R.H. Palenske, and a number of Vanity Fair jockey prints by Spy (Sir Leslie Ward), among others.  This category also features approximately 70 original drawings by artists such as Paul Brown, Thomas Percy Earl, John Skeaping, Pierre Bellocq and Lee Townsend, among others.

 

Works on paper from the Museum Collection are featured throughout our exhibit galleries, including our von Stade Gallery exhibition, A Sporting Summer, and Steeplechase Gallery.
