National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame announces return of Photo Finish juried photography exhibition

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame is pleased to announce the return of its juried photography exhibition program, Photo Finish. The Museum is now accepting submissions for consideration from both amateur and professional photographers of scenes depicting thoroughbred racing in America for our third annual exhibition.

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — Coinciding with the 2020 Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Keeneland Race Course, a new interactive exhibit will debut at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame to showcase the history of the Breeders’ Cup and the Eclipse Awards — two annual thoroughbred racing events that celebrate the best competitors of the sport.

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — Authors Jennifer Kelly and Dorothy Ours will discuss the 100th anniversary of Man o’ War’s victory against Sir Barton in the 1920 Kenilworth Gold Cup in an online program hosted by the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame on Friday, Oct. 9 at 11 a.m. The program will be moderated by Brien Bouyea, the Museum’s Hall of Fame and Communications Director. SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame will host an online preview discussion for the 145th running of the Preakness Stakes on Friday, Oct. 2, and will participate in the annual Secretariat Festival on Saturday, Oct. 10 with a virtual Museum tour highlighting the institution’s connections to Secretariat, the 1973 Triple Crown winner and Hall of Fame member.

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame reopened to the public on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020. The Museum had been closed since January 2020 for the installation of a new state-of-the-art Hall of Fame experience as well as multiple new and updated exhibitions. The Museum has put in place a number of enhanced safety protocols in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and is a Saratoga Cares Stay Safe Pledge institution with a commitment to the health of Saratoga County residents, workers, and visitors.
