Calumet Farm narrowly missed having three Triple Crown winners. Ten years after Citation's Triple Crown, Tim Tam won the Kentucky Derby and Preakness before a fractured sesamoid bone in the Belmont Stakes caused him to drop to second place. Tim Tam's other victories at 3 included the Flamingo, the Florida Derby, and the Derby Trial. Following his injury, Tim Tam was saved for stud duty. He sired fourteen stakes winners including Tosmah. Tim Tam also sired Royal Entrance, the dam of Davona Dale. Tim Tam was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 1985.
