By winning 16 out of 20 races and placing in all but two of those, Bold 'n Determined proved that she was a worthy competitor. She won her first four races including the Oak Leaf Stakes. At 3 Bold 'n Determined competed from coast to coast and won six grade 1 events. Her victories included the Acorn and the Coaching Club American Oaks, giving her two-thirds of the New York Filly Triple Crown. She also won the Fantasy, the Santa Susana Stakes, and the Kentucky Oaks. One of her most memorable races was the defeat of Kentucky Derby winner Genuine Risk by a nose in the Maskette. In her final season Bold 'n Determined added three other victories including the Bewitch Stakes and the Apple Blossom Handicap. Ankle problems ended her career later that season.

Bold 'n Determined was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 1997.
