Our popular Preschool Program runs from September through June. Each session consists of six consecutive Mondays. Classes are thematically designed. Children learn about horses, anatomy, insects, nutrition, pet care, feelings and manners. Each class consists of a story time, learning a letter and a number, and a related craft project developing their small motor skills. A parent or guardian adult must accompany the child. Admission is $30. per child for the six week program (Museum members receive a 15% discount). Advance reservations are required. Health, History, and Horses
(Fourth Grades)
A local history learning collaboration with the Saratoga Visitor Center and the Saratoga History Museum. This program offers classroom instruction, museum visits, and field trip opportunities that will enhance your students’ learning. Core courses include Horsing Around with History: a tour of the Oklahoma Training Track and a tour of the museum with a focus on local history, science and careers. Horses and Race Courses
(Pre-school – Sixth grade)
During this hands on program children learn about the exciting world of Thoroughbred racing. Students handle real bones to discover similarities and differences between horses and other species, the care and training of Thoroughbreds, and the many different jobs involved in racing. Older students also learn about the history of racing in America.
The Art of Racing
(Pre-school-Twelfth grade)
Lean to look at art by exploring museum exhibits. Students are encouraged to look more closely at the elements of art through interactive dialogue and activities. Creative movement, sketching, and writing exercises can be included.
