Learn to look at art by exploring museum exhibits.  Students are encouraged to look more closely at the elements of art through interactive dialogue and activities.  Creative movement, sketching and writing exercises can be included.

Horsing Around with the Arts Student Art Show: Call for Entries Entry Form PDF (869 Kb) SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Students in grades 3-7 and 8-12 are invited to submit entries for the National Museum of Racing’s 14th annual student art show, Horsing Around with the Arts. Artwork must be of an equine theme.  No photography or computer altered imagery will be accepted. The deadline for submissions for grades 3-7 is Friday, Jan. 11, 2008 and for grades 8-12 is Friday, March 7, 2008.  The exhibit-opening reception for the grades 3-7 will be at the Museum from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2008. For grades 8-12, the exhibit-opening reception will be on Friday, April 4, 2008 (6 to 8pm).  Students and their families, teachers and the public are welcome to attend.
