Annual Student Art Show: Horsing Around with the Arts
The Art of Racing
(K-Twelfth Grade)
Learn to look at art by exploring museum exhibits. Students are encouraged to look more closely at the elements of art through interactive dialogue and activities. Creative movement, sketching and writing exercises can be included.

Horsing Around with the Arts Student Art Show: Call for Entries

Students in grades 3-7 and 8-12 are invited to submit entries for the National Museum of Racing’s 16th annual student art show, Horsing Around with the Arts.
Artwork must be of an equine theme. No photography or computer altered imagery will be accepted.
The deadline for submissions for grades 3-7 is Friday, Jan. 1, 2010 and for grades 8-12 is Friday, March 5, 2010.
The exhibit-opening reception for the grades 3-7 will be at the Museum from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2010. For grades 8-12, the exhibit-opening reception will be on Friday, April 2, 2010 (6 to 8pm). Students and their families, teachers and the public are welcome to attend. Support in part for this program is generously provided by Price Chopper's Golub Corporation and Stewart's Shops.
